The health and well-being of our Guests and Staff has always been paramount to No. Fifty Cheyne and has been at the forefront in our preparation for re-opening.

Over the past year you have placed great trust in us and we take our responsibilities to you very seriously. Over the past few months we have coordinated extensively with our registered Health & Safety consultants in order to ensure the safest possible environment for the reopening of No Fifty Cheyne.


Teir 2, what it means:
As of Saturday 17th October, all tables must be from a single household (or support bubble)
A support bubble is currently defined as: A single household plus a single adult who does not live with any other adults, (however, said adult may bring accompanying children provided that they live together)


We have reconfigured all the rooms at No. Fifty Cheyne to facilitate social distancing and where possible one-directional routes have also been demarked. We ask that you observe any social distancing wall and floor signage when in No. Fifty Cheyne.

Around our signature open Grill, we have installed elegant glass and brass screening, keeping the theatre of the Grill, whilst creating separation around its food preparation.

Where tables and chairs have been spaced apart as per Government distancing guidelines, our designers have installed stylish standing screens which serve to further separate groups, whilst keeping our character intact.

Hand sanitizer will be available at various key points around the venue and we ask that you regularly sanitise during your visit.
Seats, tables and banquets will be sanitised before and after each use.
A no-touch policy has been implemented, so no handshakes or hugs – for the moment.

We must ask that you arrive as a complete table and at the time your booking is for, as The Ruby Bar is not currently operating.

We have adjusted our service processes to support distancing and enhanced hygiene. All our teams will be receiving return to work briefings and extensive training on our new operating procedures.

Our Staff will be required to make a mandatory health declaration before each venue visit to confirm they are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, nor have they come in contact with someone who is experiencing symptoms. Any staff member feeling unwell will go on sick leave.

All Staff will be to subject to temperatures checks taken upon arrival to No. Fifty Cheyne. Per WHO guidelines, individuals with a body temperature greater than 100.4 degrees will be sent home immediately.


In order to accommodate greater table distancing across No. Fifty Cheyne, we have taken the decision to introduce dining covers in The Drawing Room upstairs, which is now available book via our website.

Our full à la carte menu is served on both floors.
Table reservation times are now staggered with increased time-periods between reservations to minimise any congestion when arriving or exiting No. Fifty Cheyne.


We will regularly carry out a deep clean of No. Fifty Cheyne.
During service, there will be constant cleaning and sanitation during the day, focused on high contact surfaces.

Our four petite bathrooms now have a dedicated attendant to continually clean each before and after each use.
High quality, commercial disinfectants designed to be effective against the COVID-19 virus will be in continuous and deep-cleaning processes. Equipment will be sanitised before and after each use.

All kitchen staff will wear masks and gloves when in the restaurant. Face masks may be worn by certain members of staff too. Each kitchen section will be operated by one chef at one time.

On the 23rd of September 2020 we were re-awarded our existing Food Standards Agency rating of ✰✰✰✰✰


We are making every effort to create the safest and smoothest experience for our guests and staff. These procedures can be scaled to support any increased capacity over the coming months.

Our challenge is to create not only the cleanest possible environment for our guests – but one where you, our patrons, feel safe.
