New Year's Eve 2023

This New Year’s Eve, our Executive Head Chef Iain Smith has put together a feast, adding some sparkle to our last service of 2024. We have three different menus to cater for all preferences.

For our early service, reservations between 6pm and 7.15pm, one can enjoy our Sunset Service. This set menu is perfect to set you up for a big night in, or out, later in the evening. Here’s a taster of what you can order:

Starter
Lancashire Bomb cheese souffl é with Lyonnaise onions and black truffle sauce with milk crumble and pear

Main Course
Glazed citrus and vanilla duck breast with beluga lentils, celeriac purée and caramelised quince, pickled mustard seeds and Madeira jus

Dessert
No. Fifty Cheyne’s classic Tiramisu

If you are looking for something more indulgent, you may be tempted by our Principal Service. Iain has put some of his favourite dishes together for a sumptuous three course meal which includes a flute of Ruinart Champagne. Here’s one sample from the menu:

Starter
White crab meat mayonnaise with baby potato salad and quince purée with pickled cucumber and dill jellies

Main Course
Dexter beef chateaubriand with truffle creamed potatoes and wild mushrooms with smoked bone marrow sauce to share

Dessert
Pistachio and dark chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel sauce

If you’re looking to go all out, our exceptional Tasting Menu can be pre-ordered for any reservation (but must be ordered for the whole table due to the manner of the service) from 7.30pm. Each tasting menu includes four courses of our finest dishes as well as a glass of Ruinart Champagne. Here’s what we could be serving you:

Salt baked baby heritage beetroot with horseradish, potato and dill cream, N25 Oscietra caviar

Native Cornish blue lobster ravioli with shellfi sh bisque and Champagne bubbles

Wagyu beef rib with miso glazed oxtail, white onion and vanilla purée with Delica squash and salted butterscotch caramel sauce

Chocolate and pistachio soufflé with clotted cream ice cream and cracked honeycomb
